My favorite was the first one with the blue. I like the blue, and because the water was flowing and taking over. I showed it to jake so he could vote too. He votes the same one because "it's the only one that didn't make me feel anxious." :) xoxo to you kelly!

Thanks, Megan! That's really interesting about Jake's remarks about anxiousness. I'm not surprised they'd make someone anxious - actually, I'm really kind of glad they do. I wasn't doing that necessarily on purpose, but I was thinking about pollution and flooding and drought and all that when I was making them, which are all quite anxiety-inducing events. So that's very good feedback! xo

I like the two that begin with the river. Mississippi water at the heart of the heartland sending out life in water. The blue one (upper left) appeals to me more, I think. Just that little bit of color feels right and not so bleak. Hopeful. Claiming a respect at its center, powerful and mighty, overcoming the current of time (pun intended).
